New Trailers Released For Alien: Isolation Ask How Will You Survive

Considering how terrifying and influential the trailer for the original Alien film was and remains, it's been great seeing Creative Assembly craft trailers that also serve as homages to the original. Considering how terrifying and influential the trailer for the original Alien film was and remains, it’s been great seeing Creative Assembly craft trailers that also serve as homages to the original. With Alien: Isolation set for release in a few weeks, new trailers have been flying out the gate, and some of the more interesting ones come to us courtesy of the #HowWillYouSurvive campaign.

Each trailer shows an example of how the Xenomorph can hunt you throughout the game and various simple mistakes that can lead to death, while also making the Xenomorph look like an ever-present nuisance, albeit a terrifying one.

As creepy as these encounters with the creature are, I can’t help but to get a small feeling of worry in my gut seeing how totally random most of these encounters will be. Of course, I’m more than excited to take part in the hunt, even if I’m the prey, but the Xenomorph seems just a bit too omniscient.

However, it’s obviously hard to get a final impression based on these tiny clips, and I’m always up for a fight against an enemy with solid AI. Whether or not Alien: Isolation can live up to its promise remains to be seen, but one thing is for certain: literally any other Alien game would be better than Colonial Marines.

Be sure to pick Isolation up when it’s released on October 7th for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
