Two New #HowWillYouSurvive Trailers Released For Alien: Isolation

Yes, it's finally autumn and the best three months of the year are upon us. Yes, October is an excuse to spend 31 days scaring yourself and others in every way possible. And yes, Alien: Isolation is hardly more than a week away, and I cannot wait. Continuing the trend of releasing awesome short trailers under the #HowWillYouSurvive banner, Creative Assembly has launched two more looks at ways the Xenomorph can stalk and (most likely) kill you in their upcoming game.

Yes, it’s finally autumn and the best three months of the year are upon us.

The first of the trailers, titled “Misdirection,” showcases one of the many tools at your disposal, the Noisemaker. Although it can serve as a useful toy for distracting the alien for a few seconds, any noise slightly louder than that will immediately draw its attention right back to you. The trailer also gives a glimpse of a security feature that seems to react negatively to your body, so it looks like the ship itself is going to be its own enemy at times.

Next up, the trailer titled “Nowhere Is Safe” makes it perfectly clear that whenever you think you are safe, the Xenomorph will just find another way to kill you. If you haven’t noticed yet, the AI controlling the alien is surprisingly intelligent and seems to be a horrifyingly precise killer. Rather than running through and praying for luck, you’re going to have to work to memorize the ship’s layout and how everything works if you even want a chance of surviving each encounter.

To see for yourself, check out both of the trailers below. If you can stomach your pride and don’t mind a few dirty looks, then you can pre-order Alien: Isolation and get a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which includes a few DLC levels taking place during the original Alien film. Otherwise, be sure to pick it up when it’s released on October 7 for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
