Dominic Cooper Will Return As Howard Stark In Agent Carter

While there was never any real reason to seriously doubt that he would do so, it's now been made official that Dominic Cooper will return as Howard Stark in Marvel's upcoming Agent Carter TV series. Cooper first played Tony Stark's father in Captain America: The First Avenger and had a cameo role in last year's Agent Carter One-Shot short film.

While there was never any real reason to seriously doubt that he would do so, it’s now been made official that Dominic Cooper will return as Howard Stark in Marvel’s upcoming Agent Carter TV series. Cooper first played the Stark family patriarch in Captain America: The First Avenger and had a cameo role in last year’s Agent Carter One-Shot short film.

Marvel announced the news early Tuesday morning, but did not include any indication of how large Cooper’s role will be. My guess is that he’ll be a recurring character on the series, thanks to his involvement in the early days of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the inclusion of “secret missions” that the titular Agent Carter (Hayley Atwell) will be tasked by Stark to accomplish.

Tell us, are you excited to see Dominic Cooper don the mustache of Howard Stark once more for Agent Carter? Let us know in the comments section below.

Marvel’s Agent Carter, starring Captain America’s Hayley Atwell, follows the story of Peggy Carter. It’s 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life–Steve Rogers. Inspired by the feature films Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, along with the short Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.

Starring Hayley Atwell as Agent Peggy Carter, Chad Michael Murray as SSR Agent Jack Thompson, Enver Gjokaj as SSR Agent Daniel Sousa, James D’Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, and Shea Whigham as SSR Chief Roger Dooley, Marvel’s Agent Carter was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. Executive producers are Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas, Christopher Markus, Stephen McFeely, Chris Dingess, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Joe Quesada, Stan Lee and Jeph Loeb.
