Watch Five Minutes Of Footage From World War II Drama Fury

The World War II drama season is soon upon us. Well, I say season, but there's only the Benedict Cumberbatch code-breaking thriller, The Imitation Game, and David Ayer's Fury. While they broadly cover the same topic - the Second World War - they couldn't be more different. Ayer's action-packed bromancer looks set to rile up scores of Brad Pitt's loyal Fight Club followers and possibly the same amount who're hoping to see Shia LeBeouf meet a grisly fate.

Set during the final days of the war, the film follows Pitt’s Army Sergeant, who goes by the nickname Wardaddy. Logan Lerman provides the empathy as newbie Norman, whose doe-eyed naivete towards war proves troublesome for the seasoned sergeant. Jon Bernthal, Michael Pena and LeBeouf round out the remainder of Wardaddy’s five-man crew who serve their country in a colossal Sherman tank. When their group ventures across enemy lines and deep into a whole mess of Nazi-shaped trouble, it’s only a matter of time before ‘Fury’ – the tank – breaks down.

Sony have posted a lot of trailers and clips from the movie, and now there’s even more! The five clips released today kick up the relationships between the men, and stomp forward into straight-up action territory.  It’s looking like a lot of fun and not the weighty drama I’d originally thought it might become.

Fury rolls into theatres on October 17th. Check out the clips above and plot summary below and let us know what you think.

FURY is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Brad Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
