Starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, A Second Chance tells the story of Andreas, a man faced with an impossible choice that throws his life into turmoil as he starts to blur the lines between what’s right and wrong. To say anymore would be spoiling what is truly an engaging film, but rest assured, Bier grips you right from the beginning with this one and doesn’t let go until the end credits roll.

Last month during the Toronto International Film Festival, I was fortunate enough to land an exclusive interview with the director and her star. We spoke about the differences between making a Hollywood film versus a Danish film, how they managed to keep Andreas a sympathetic character despite his shocking actions, if they ever felt the need to tone down the intensity and much more.

A Second Chance does not currently have a North American release date, but it will hit theatres in Denmark and Sweden on January 15th. In the meantime, check out our video interview above and enjoy!
