Nexus Game Studios and Daedalic Entertainment have confirmed that Jason Mewes, of Jay and Silent Bob glory, will be lending his distinct vocal touch to the upcoming point and click adventure game Randal’s Monday.

Mewes will be making a cameo appearance as Jay from the Clerks films alongside his hetero life mate Silent Bob. The duo are set to make appearances throughout Randal’s Monday, hanging out in back alleys and discussing things from the Clerks movies that generated their fame.

Nexus Game Studios Lead Producer Enric Costa commented on the team’s excitement over landing Mewes for the game.

“We are over the moon now also having Jason on board. It’s a real dream come true. Our homage to Clerks and classic adventure games now gets support not only from one big star of the American Independent Cinema, but from two. That’s more than we ever hoped for.”

While our first impressions of Randal’s Monday were lukewarm at best, it will be interesting to see how the game manage’s to pull itself together. It’s hard to deny its use of geek culture from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s, as anything other than impressive, but nostalgia and references do not last forever.

If Randal’s Monday has piqued your interest, be sure to check out our hands-on preview while you wait for the game’s Steam release on November 12, 2014.
