For those looking to pick up Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on PC, Activision has unveiled the minimum specs required to run the latest entry into the blockbuster franchise. In tandem with yesterday’s high-octane launch trailer, the studio detailed the following specifications via Steam, which include an eye-watering 55GB install.

OS: OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-Bit / Windows 8.1 64-Bit
Processor: Intel CoreTM i3-530 @ 2.93 GHz / AMD PhenomTM II X4 810 @ 2.80 GHz or better
Memory: 6 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 @ 1GB / ATI Radeon HD 5870 @ 1GB or better
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 55 GB available space
Sound Card: DirectX-compatible

That’s right, at 55GB, Sledgehammer Games’ maiden entry into the long-running series will be one of the largest PC titles out there. Although given the breathtaking facial capture found in the aforementioned trailer, we think it’s fair to say that Advanced Warfare deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Following up on last year’s somewhat underwhelming Ghosts, 2014’s CoD looks set to inject the franchise with a new lease of life. With Titanfall-esque traversal and futuristic weaponry at the player’s disposal, Advanced Warfare is undoubtedly a big step for Activision’s colossal IP.

There is only a fortnight left until Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare becomes available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, with Sledgehammer’s shooter due to release on November 4th, 2014.
