And while previous teasers have shied away from showcasing the cast’s musical chops, the film’s most recent clip wears its heart on its sleeve, all the while revealing exactly how those beloved fairtyale characters cross paths in the first place.

For those of you who haven’t been keeping up with the movie’s long-running marketing campaign, Into The Woods is Rob Marshall’s big-screen adaptation of Stephen Sondheim’s eponymous and critically-adorned musical. In a nutshell, the story follows a humble baker and his wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt, respectively), who discover they have been the victim of a malevolent curse that renders them childless.

And so, together they venture, ahem, into the woods in order to discover some form of remedy. It’s a whimsical journey that will have them encounter the likes of Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderella and some of the most beloved personas found in the Brothers Grimm fairytales. It features quite the ensemble cast, too, with Anna Kendrick, Johnny Deep and Meryl Streep lending their dulcet tones to Disney’s flick.

Into The Woods will soar into theaters on December 25th, 2014.

“Into the Woods” is a modern twist on several of the beloved Brothers Grimm fairy tales, intertwining the plots of a few choice stories and exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. This humorous and heartfelt musical follows the classic tales of Cinderella (Anna Kendrick), Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Jack and the Beanstalk (Daniel Huttlestone), and Rapunzel (MacKenzie Mauzy), all tied together by an original story involving a Baker and his Wife (James Corden and Emily Blunt), their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the Witch (Meryl Streep), who has put a curse on them.
