Aftermovies are a dime a dozen these days, with festivals pumping them out left, right and centre. So, when one comes along that truly grabs your attention and offers more than just the standard shots of “scantily clad girls in bikinis” mixed in with “exploding pyrotechnics galore,” you sit up and take notice.
Earlier this week, we saw the aftermovie from TomorrowWorld 2014 and now, mere days later, we have the one for Ultra Europe 2014. While it does have all the requisite shots (including the ones listed above), it also places a large focus on Croatia, where the event is held. In doing so, it really sells not only the festival, but also the location where it takes place. Seriously, this video could just as easily be used as marketing material for tourism in Croatia as it can be for Ultra.
Of course, the focus here is still very much on the party, the artists and the festival, but the aftermovie does a really great job of balancing all the elements that make Ultra Europe so special. Throw in two fantastic songs that perfectly capture the spirit of the festival (Deniz Koyu’s “To The Sun” and Bakermat & Goldfish’s Games Continued), and you have a very effective video.
