Insomniac Games’ outrageous Xbox One exclusive Sunset Overdrive will be free for all Xbox Live subscribers tomorrow, November 22, for a 24-hour period, Microsoft has confirmed.

The promotion comes as part of the company’s celebration of the console’s one-year anniversary, and users will be able to download the sandbox shooter from 12.01am Eastern Time right up until the window closes at the same time on Sunday, November 23rd.

During this time, Gold subscribers will have the opportunity to unlock achievements and dip their toe into the game’s multiplayer mode. Plus, Microsoft also stated that players can carry their progress across from the trial period to the full game should they decide to go all-in.

Mind you, given that Sunset Overdrive weighs in at 23GB and the offer is only available for 24 hours, we’d advise starting the download as soon as possible tomorrow to take full advantage of this rather enticing trial. Released at the tailend of October, we loved our time with Insomniac’s latest title, praising its traversal system and inherent sense of riotous fun.

Vibrant, exhilarating and absolutely bonkers, Sunset Overdrive provides a refreshing and wildly imaginative take on the apocalypse and is hands-down some of the most fun you’ll have with your console all year.

Xbox Live subscribers will have the opportunity to download Sunset Overdrive free of charge tomorrow, November 22. Keep in mind that the trial period only lasts for 24 hours, so if you’ve been on the fence about Microsoft’s shooter, now seems like as good a time as any to take it out for a spin.
