Today marks a holiday for video game-loving George R. R. Martin fans, as the beloved writer’s A Song of Ice and Fire series is about to make its way to interactive devices once again, thanks to Telltale Games.
Simply titled Game of Thrones — like its televised peer — Telltale’s take on Westeros will be released in six parts over the course of the next year or so. Over that time period, it will tell the story of House Forrester and its inhabitants. Joining them will, of course, be iconic characters like Tyrion and Cersei Lannister, as well as at least one member of the Stark family, the latter of which holds an alliance with the Forresters themselves.
The very first of the six planned episodes will make its debut today on PC, Mac and PS4, whereas Xbox users will be able to play it starting tomorrow. Following that, iOS and PS3 releases will occur on the 4th and 9th, respectively.
