For the uninitiated, OlliOlli is an easy to learn, but difficult to master skateboarding simulator. The title features a very basic control scheme, but makes up for it by making it difficult to pull of any sort of elaborate trick. The game launched to solid reviews upon release, and currently holds a 79 score on Metacritic.

News of the port comes only a few months after developer Roll7 announced that OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood would be coming to the PS4 and PS Vita in 2015. The studio has already revealed that the sequel will be exclusive to those platforms for six months after release. Once that time lapses, they will consider bringing it to additional platforms.

While it may have taken awhile, I’m happy to see that OlliOlli will come to Microsoft and Nintendo gamers. The game was one of my biggest surprises of the last year, and if more people can experience its thrills, than I’m all for it.

To our Xbox One and Nintendo console owning gamers, I ask, will you be picking up OlliOlli when it launches early next year? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
