According to a now-pulled listing, Square Enix is prepping to bring Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD to PlayStation 4.

First spotted by Gematsu, the webpage explicitly details that the beloved RPG classic — which launched for PlayStation 3 and Vita back in March — will indeed arrive for Sony’s current-gen console. It’s unclear when Square will release the port, but you can still glimpse the listing in question thanks to a Google cache page.

Originally released all the way back in 2001 and 2003, respectively, Final Fantasy X & X-2 were widely considered to be game-changers for the long-running franchise — particularly the former, which introduced voice acting for the very first time. Following the tale of Tidus and Yuna, the story is one that involves time travel, that good ol’ battle between good and evil and of course, Blitzball!

Given that the PlayStation 3 version was praised for its graphical overhaul and revamped sound, it’s hard to imagine Square producing anything dramatically different for the imminent PS4 iteration.

Still, we loved our time with the recent re-release, praising Square Enix for bringing a decade old classic to modern RPG fans with aplomb.

A true labor of love from Square Enix, Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD Remaster are well worth revisiting thanks to an abundance of extras and an exemplary graphical update.

As always, we’ll keep you up to date with all the news pertaining to Final Fantasy X & X-2 HD‘s purported arrival on PlayStation 4. Until then, you can check out the port’s box art down below.
