Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice To Tackle Man Of Steel Controversies “In Big Ways”

It's no secret that Man of Steel was divisive with both critics and audiences; the film managed to re-introduce Superman to a new generation of moviegoers, but came complete with a few controversial choices from director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer. The online debates between fans are still raging, and likely will be until the follow-up, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters in 2016.

It’s no secret that Man of Steel divided both critics and audiences alike. The film managed to re-introduce Superman to a new generation of moviegoers, but came complete with a few controversial choices from director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer. The online debates between fans are still raging, and it will likely remain that way until the follow-up, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, hits theaters in 2016.

We’ve heard several times now that Batman V Superman will include some of the controversies from MoS in its actual narrative – in the form of anti-Superman protests, for example – and a new report now confirms that Superman is still facing an uphill battle when it comes to global acceptance.

Badass Digest is reporting on what Superman’s situation looks like in Batman V Superman, which will primarily take place two years after Man of Steel. The details come from a draft of the script that was in place just before production began, so take the news with the requisite grain of salt. The site does have a great track record with stories like this, though, so maybe a small grain of salt will do just fine.

In any case, we’ll go ahead and post a spoiler warning just for good measure.
