Since we’re now approaching the end of the year, Beatport has announced the top artists, tracks and genres for 2014. There’s hardly any surprises, but it’s always nice to see what music was most popular and what people are digging.

In terms of songs, all the usual suspects are here, with music from Oliver Heldens, David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Showtek all making appearances. That being said, though, there’s actually quite a bit of non-commercial music on the list, which is nice to see. In fact, the #1 track is “Pushin’ On” by Oliver $ and Jim Jules, which is a bit surprising.

In terms of genres, deep house sits nicely at the top, which shouldn’t really shock anyone given how popular it’s become in recent years. It’s also interesting to note that trance now sits at #9, showing that the genre, as many people keep saying, is struggling a bit.

Finally, for the artists, things are pretty standard. You have Martin Garrix at the top with heavy hitters like Hardwell, R3HAB, Avicii, DVBBS and more joining him.
