According to a leaked memo between Sony and their development/publishing partners, the sorely missed Playstation store is scheduled to be back online and functional on Tuesday the 24th of May.
Sony finally managed to get the online gaming portion of the PSN live again (following the unprecedented cyber attack on the system) on Sunday but the store remains in the technical ‘recovery ward’ at this point. PS3 owners are entitled to a whole host of complimentary goodies from Sony as soon as everything is back to normal; these include a selection of free games, ID protection, and a weekend of free rentals.
With things looking to be getting back on track for PS3 players, maybe we can stop worrying about cyber crime for a bit and take certain satisfaction in indulging in the games we enjoy playing.
