As 2015 draws near, so does the big screen reunion of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Avengers: Age of Ultron is undoubtedly the most hotly anticipated Marvel Studios film to date, and thankfully, it’s only five months away now from blasting its way into theaters.
We’ve already seen an action-packed trailer showing off the film’s titular robotic antagonist, and highlighting the plethora of super-sized set pieces – one of which happens to be an attack on the newly-renovated Avengers Tower. Now, Disney have released a new image from that very scene, featuring the Avengers (and a few of their friends) assembled in one place and intently listening to Ultron’s threatening (and incredibly creepy) monologue.
The image features the core group of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, as well as a few of the franchise’s supporting characters. They’re also joined by newcomer Claudia Kim, who plays the mysterious Dr. Cho. What her role is in the film, or what she’s doing partying with the Avengers, remains to be seen.
Avengers: Age of Ultron will hit theaters on May 1st, 2015.
When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.
