The Good Dinosaur Gains A Synopsis Along With Lush Concept Art

2014 proved to be the first year in almost a decade -- 2005, to be precise -- that animation giant Pixar didn't release a film. That's primarily down to the fact that The Good Dinosaur has experienced its fair share of development issues, what with the recent and extensive delay along with a change in directors.

2014 proved to be the first year in almost a decade — since 2005, to be precise — that animation giant Pixar didn’t release a film. That’s primarily down to the fact that The Good Dinosaur has experienced its fair share of development issues, what with the recent and extensive delay along with a change in director.

But thankfully, the Jurassic era flick has overcome those trying times and the studio look set to unveil Arlo — the titular, 70-foot Apatosaurus — come 2015. And ahead of his anticipated debut, Pixar has released the official synopsis for the animation, and a single piece of lush concept art along with a redesigned logo.

Over the past few months, the logo hasn’t been the only thing related to The Good Dinosaur that has been subject to alteration; in fact, when director Bob Peterson was taken off the project, the company chose to reimagine Arlo himself, opting for a more amicable look. In Peterson’s stead, the film will now be directed by Peter Sohn, with the likes of John Lithgow, Frances McDormand, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris, Judy Greer and Lucas Neff lending their vocal chords to the animation.

Arlo will embark on his mighty adventure when The Good Dinosaur roars into theaters on November 25, 2015.

“The Good Dinosaur” asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? In theaters November 25, 2015, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo’s family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a human boy. “The Good Dinosaur” is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart.
