First Look At Tom Hardy In The Dark Knight Rises

Finally, the first piece of real Dark Knight Rises news in a while. Finally, the first piece of real Dark Knight Rises news in a while. For the past few weeks, ever since the film went into production, we’ve been getting little news stories here and there that mostly had to do with the sets and shooting locations of The Dark Knight Rises. Nothing really substantial. Today though, that all changes as we get our first look at Tom Hardy as Bane.

Admittedly, it’s a bit underwhelming as it isn’t really a full shot of the character but it is better than nothing. Just from what we see, Bane looks pretty menacing and definitely a formidable opponent for the caped crusader. Hardy also looks like he bulked up quite a bit for the role. The image was revealed in a viral campaign for the film which means we can expect to see some more goodies in the coming weeks as fans uncover them. As for Bane though, what do you think?

Tom Hardy is part of an all star cast that includes Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, Burn Gorman and Nestor Carbonell. The Dark Knight Rises will hit theatres on July 20, 2012.
