Nintendo Blows Kirby And The Rainbow Curse To February 20th

Instead of releasing on February 13th as originally planned, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse will now blow onto Nintendo's Wii U on February 20th. This delay -- which is odd, given that it's only seven days in length -- was announced this morning, alongside the debut of a brand new gameplay trailer.

Revealed during last June’s E3 expo, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse tasks players with drawing lines in order to guide its titular character through themed levels. The touch-sensitive input will also be required to transform the pink fluffball into different vehicles — such as a rocket, tank or submarine — whenever necessary.

Unsurprisingly, the game will also support Nintendo’s Kirby, King Dedede and Metaknight Amiibos, although they’ll only be available for use once every twenty-four hours. Why is that? Well, placing one of the three noted characters on your GamePad will result in free power-ups, including extra hearts and a special hat (King Dedede), early access to Kirby’s dash move (Kirby himself) and a special, flaming dash (courtesy of Metaknight).

Stay tuned for more information pertaining to Kirby and the Rainbow Curse as it develops.
