After several months of waiting, Oddworld Inhabitants, Inc. has announced that Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is finally set to launch on Xbox One, Windows PC, Mac, Linux and PlayStation 3. The enhanced remake of 1997’s Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee has been available on the PlayStation 4 since July 2014.
Currently scheduled for a February 24 release, the Windows PC, Max and Linux versions of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will all be available through Steam. Each port will carry a cost of $20, with an additional 10% discount for those who choose to pre-purchase the remaster.
Following in March will be the Xbox One and PlayStation 3 editions of the title. Specific details on the these versions, such as pricing, have not been made available at this time. However, all versions of New ‘n’ Tasty will include the previously released updates that have been steadily made available for the PS4 version.
We reviewed Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty back when it launched in July 2014, and called it a “new shot of life” for the cult franchise. The series has been one of the most under-appreciated in gaming since it first began, and outside of one specific entry (Munch’s Oddysee), it has been consistently great. If you haven’t experienced Lorne Lanning’s creation yet, now is the perfect time to jump in.
