Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner And Alexandra Shipp Join X-Men: Apocalypse As Cyclops, Jean Grey And Storm

After an extensive search that included a slew of young and talented actors and actresses, Bryan Singer has finally found the three leads for X-Men: Apocalypse. The director took to Twitter today to announce that Tye Sheridan (Mud, The Tree of Life), Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner and relative newcomer Alexandra Shipp (House of Anubis, Straight Outta Compton) have been cast as Scott Summers a.k.a. Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Storm, respectively. They will play the younger versions of the characters played by James Marsden, Famke Janssen and Haley Berry in previous franchise installments.

The trio join a star-studded cast that includes returning players Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and Evan Peters, as well as Oscar Isaac as the film’s titular ancient, evil mutant.
