Keanu Reeves’ current career reboot, kickstarted by a return-to-form turn in John Wick, looks set to continue if this week’s news is any indication. Yesterday he signed up to co-star in Nicolas Winding Refn’s female-led horror, The Neon Demon, he’s already completed work on Eli Roth’s Knock Knock, and now, he’s hitting the streets of New York for his next effort, Daughter Of God.
As the film is currently in the process of being sold at the European Film Market, a small batch of images from the project have hit the web. Reeves takes center stage in both snaps as a police detective investigating the murder of his partner.
Written and directed by Gee Malik Linton – who will make his directorial debut with the movie – the story hones in on Reeves’ Detective, Scott Galban, as he seeks out the truth during his investigation. As a series of bizarre and mysterious events arise, they prompt a revelation from a local woman, who claims to have witnessed a miracle. Joining Reeves are his co-star in Knock Knock, Ana de Armas, Mira Sorvino (TV’s Falling Skies, Intruders) and Christopher McDonald (TV’s Boardwalk Empire).
