Now that Neill Blomkamp’s latest sci-fi opus is little under a month away from release, Sony Pictures has pushed the marketing campaign for Chappie into high gear, debuting a bevy of screenshots from the film alongside a new TV clip that connote one simple message: Hugh Jackman’s character (and his mullet) are not to be trifled with.

Drawing upon one of the more pressing questions of our time, Blomkamp’s futuristic tale will orbit around Dev Patel’s budding scientist, who assembles the titular, autonomous bot that possesses the ability to think and feel for itself. What this means for its creator and the society around him is exactly what Chappie will look to explore, and the footage above hints at the kind of simmering societal tensions that come to the fore upon the robot’s inception.

Joining Jackman and Patel for the grimy sci-fi flick are Jose Pablo Cantillo, genre veteran Sigourney Weaver and Sharlto Copley, who continues his strong working relationship with Blomkamp by lending his vocal chords to the robot in question.

Chappie will make its robotic bow on March 6. For now, you can get acquainted with the leading cast members along with the titular android via the gallery below.

Every child comes into the world full of promise, and none more so than Chappie: he is gifted, special, a prodigy. Like any child, Chappie will come under the influence of his surroundings – some good, some bad – and he will rely on his heart and soul to find his way in the world and become his own man. But there’s one thing that makes Chappie different from anyone else: he is a robot. The first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. His life, his story, will change the way the world looks at robots and humans forever.
