Exclusive Video Interview With Joe Lynch On Everly

Salma Hayek returns to her action packed ways in the new thriller Everly. In the film she plays the titular woman, who's kidnapped by a crime organization and forced into prostitution against her will. Everly is held prisoner at a nice upscale apartment, but after four years in captivity, she decides to turn the tables on her captors in an effort to rescue her mother and baby girl from those who have stolen her freedom. Getting out of that apartment, however, proves to be far more difficult than she realizes.

Everly is held prisoner at a nice upscale apartment, but after four years in captivity, she decides to turn the tables on her captors in an effort to rescue her mother and daughter from those who have stolen her freedom. Getting out of that apartment, however, proves to be far more difficult than she first thought.

Last week during the film’s press day, director Joe Lynch was at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, California. While there, I had the chance to sit down with him for an exclusive interview. We spoke about the boundless energy that Hayek brought to the project, the advantages and disadvantages of shooting the movie in one location, and of how Bear McCreary’s score was supposed to sound like something out of the 1980s.

Check it out in the video above, and be sure to catch Everly in theatres this weekend.
