From what we’ve seen so far, Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland promises to be a family-friendly sci-fi spectacle. Due to hit theaters this summer, Disney is ramping up the marketing elements of the film’s promotional campaign to further draw you into its mystery. The latest piece to arrive is a brand new one-sheet poster, showcasing the awe-inspiring heights and wonders of the titular land.
To reacquaint you with what we know so far, the futuristic caper will focus on the experiences of Casey (Britt Robertson), who discovers a brooch that gifts her with the power to transport between this world and another. That alternate world is indeed Tomorrowland, a magical place where she encounters a grizzled former genius named Frank (George Clooney). The duo unite on a mission to save both universes from unforeseen danger.
Bearing in mind the premise, it’s interesting to note that Clooney takes pride of place on this visual tease. It’s been widely assumed that he isn’t leading the movie, based on his sparse appearances in the trailer and the fact that it’s actually Britt Robertson who will guide us into the alternate realm. Regardless, it’s a delicious treat for the eyes, and a nice aperitif ahead of the film’s new trailer, which is poised to land Monday, March 9.
