It’s been little over a month since the release of the sophomore episode, but today, Telltale Games has confirmed that Game of Thrones: Episode 3 — which is to be released bearing the title The Sword in the Darkness – will make its bow this week across all platforms.

As with most Telltale release, though, this launch is skewed depending on which region you belong in and which platform you intend to play on. For instance, tomorrow, March 24, will herald the episode’s arrival on PC, Mac and PlayStation platforms here in North America, whereas those waiting to experience the next chapter in the politically-driven story on Xbox platforms worldwide or PlayStation platforms in Europe will have to wait until March 25. In terms of mobile, iOS and Android players will be forced to wait an extra two days before The Sword in the Darkness becomes available on Thursday, March 26.

Picking up from the events of the previous installment, players will once again assume the varied roles within House Forrester as the family becomes further embroiled in The War of the Five Kings. Given that this is a six-part series, The Sword in the Darkness marks the halfway point for this particular Telltale property, and it will be interesting to see how the studio tees up the rest of the season with the release of this latest chapter.

Much like the show and the novels upon which it is based, Game of Thrones: Episode 3 looks set to hop between a variety of characters and locations, with the trailer hinting at ventures to King’s Landing, The Wall, not to mention Weirwood found by Winterfell.

Game of Thrones: Episode 3 will arrive first on PC, Mac and PlayStation platforms for those in North America first tomorrow, March 24, before proliferating to other platforms. Tell us, are you excited about the next trip to Westeros? Let us know below.
