Xbox One Version Of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Arrives With 16GB Day-One Update

Those excited to pick up and play Borderlands: The Handsome Collection ought to make yourselves comfortable after picking up the game, as it’s understood the compilation will land with an 8GB and 16GB day-one patch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, respectively.

Specifically, the remastered port delegates 3GB of space for Borderlands 2 on Microsoft’s current-gen system, while Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel takes up a more hefty 13GB due to the last-minute addition of The Claptastic Voyage. While this update is largely dedicated to the latter DLC, Gearbox noted that the patch will bring about numerous bug fixes and incremental fixes, and strongly recommends every player download the day-one update before embarking on their quest through Pandora.

“For The Handsome Collection, a large day-one update will be available giving access to Claptastic Voyage and Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2. This update will also address various bugs,” a spokesperson said. “Although the update is large (as it’s adding an entire and brand new add-on campaign), we strongly recommend that all players download it before playing The Handsome Collection.”

The reason for the huge size is due to the fact that, along with The Claptastic Voyage, Borderlands: The Handsome Collection‘s day-one update is set to add in the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, which wasn’t complete in time to be burned onto the disc.
