Daredevil is the first of five planned TV series cooked up by Marvel and Netflix, and it’s set to drop all of its 13 episodes very soon. Destined to commandeer television sets across the globe and lead thousands – if not more – of workers to call in sick, this grittier take on Matt Murdock’s story has already captured the public’s imagination.
Through a mixed bag of enticing teasers and stunning motion posters, the stage has been set. And now, thanks to a crop of new character posters and a cheeky TV spot there’s further evidence as to why you should start concocting a passable fake cough.
The gallery of character-centric posters are a nice touch. When laid out side by side they form a larger banner of the Hell’s Kitchen landscape, previously spotted in the last motion picture poster. They include Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple aka Night Nurse, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin. Most of that crew can be spotted in the newest TV trailer that’s packed with fresh footage honing in on Matt Murdock’s origins before he transformed into Daredevil.
