Sierra’s revival of the iconic King’s Quest adventure game series was originally announced last December, and while few details on gameplay and a specific release date have been released since, that may start to change, as the first of four behind the scenes developer’s diary videos has been released.
Members of developer The Odd Gentlemen, the team behind the episodic title, discuss their passion for the original games, their goal to successfully update the series for a new generation of gamers, and their first meeting with the original creators. Some brief clips of gameplay are also shown, sporting an appealing art style for its fantasy world.
The first episode of King’s Quest is expected to launch later this year on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Windows. We will continue to keep you updated on the game as more news drops, but for now, take a look at the video above and let us know what you think.
