Paul Rudd Takes A Five-Finger Discount In First Ant-Man Clip

Star of the movie, Paul Rudd, hit the talk show circuit last night and unveiled the film’s first extended clip during his appearance on Late Night With David Letterman. For those of you who are hoping to enter the movie theater with no knowledge of Ant-Man’s adventure, then it might be wise to click elsewhere.

While it’s not the most spoiler-ridden footage ever shown to audiences ahead of time, it does provide a first, as we meet Michael Pena’s character, who is revealed to be part of Lang’s gang of thieves. They wait outside in a van while Lang busts open a safe which leads to the discovery of the Ant-Man leathers. It’s not much, but it’s only 43 seconds. It’s still worth checking out for the patter between Rudd and Pena, which hews close to Marvel’s typical comedy M.O.

Soak up the first glimpse of Scott’s thievery in the above clip and prepare yourself for the full throttle of Ant-Man‘s adventure on July 17, 2015.

The next evolution of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brings a founding member of The Avengers to the big screen for the first time with Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man.” Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, master thief Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats.
