Amy Ryan has snagged the female lead in Warner Bros. and New Line's upcoming buddy comedy, Central Intelligence. Set to be headlined by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, the film is currently eyeing a June 2016 release date and revolves around a "mild-mannered accountant (Hart) who hears from a former classmate (Johnson) who was bullied in high school. Amy Ryan has snagged the female lead in Warner Bros. and New Line’s upcoming buddy comedy, Central Intelligence.

Set to be headlined by Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, the film is currently eyeing a June 2016 release date and revolves around a “mild-mannered accountant (Hart) who hears from a former classmate (Johnson) who was bullied in high school. The guy the accountant remembers as a loser now kills for the CIA and talks him into helping thwart a plot to sell military secrets.” As for Ryan, she’ll be playing a CIA operative who is trying to chase down Johnson’s character.

Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber from a script by Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, Central Intelligence is shaping up to be pretty promising as far as buddy comedies go. While I’m not expecting anything groundbreaking here, pairing Kevin Hart’s manic energy with Dwayne Johnson’s charisma and machoism should still make for a very entertaining outing, as both actors are enjoyable screen presences and very watchable, no matter what film they’re starring in.

Tell us, are you looking forward to seeing Johnson and Hart together on the big screen when Central Intelligence hits theatres? Sound off below!
