Will Hawkeye Battle Black Panther In Captain America: Civil War?

Well, that's one way to make an entrance. According to superhero scoopster Umberto Gonzalez, who has delivered many spot-on discoveries about upcoming Marvel and DC blockbusters in the past few months, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will first make his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe by engaging in a "huge fight" with sharp-shooting Avenger Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in Captain America: Civil War.

Well, that’s one way to make an entrance. According to superhero scoopster Umberto Gonzalez, who has delivered many spot-on discoveries about upcoming Marvel and DC blockbusters in the past few months, Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) will first make his mark on the Marvel Cinematic Universe by engaging in a “huge fight” with sharp-shooting Avenger Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) in Captain America: Civil War.

Gonzalez, who sometimes goes under the pseudonym El Mayimbe and recently departed Latino Review in order to set up his own fight, broke the rumor on his Instagram page:

Of course, with Captain America: Civil War pitting hero against hero over whether government oversight is necessary for super-powered individuals in a post-Age of Ultron world, it makes sense that Black Panther would end up duking it out with someone over the course of the jam-packed entry. But that it may be Hawkeye reveals that the ace archer has likely sided with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, advocating for more superhero accountability, while the less tamed Black Panther is fighting alongside Captain America (Chris Evans) to keep superheroes free from political interference.

The question is, who would win in a royal smackdown between T’Challa and Hawkeye? It seems more than likely that it will end in a draw with the heroes teaming up to combat a bigger threat, but my money’s on the Wakandan Prince, if just because he’ll need to make quite an entrance to cement his place in the new Avengers lineup.

In other Civil War news, a pic has emerged of the Cap in a suit, accompanied by Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp) and seemingly attending a funeral. Though some may raise the alarm that this spells the death of a major hero at some point in the film, what seems more likely is that the elderly Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell), Captain America’s WWII love from The First Avenger, has finally passed away. Check out that shot below.
