The nature of Skyfall star Daniel Craig’s mystery role in Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been revealed, thanks to a slip of the tongue by another possible co-star, Simon Pegg.

Cornered by The Sun on the red carpet for his rom-com Man Up, Pegg was asked whether or not he was playing a stormtrooper in the massive blockbuster. “I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper,” he said, then adding: “I shouldn’t have said that.”

Craig’s small part in The Force Awakens was revealed last year, though those excited about Harrison Ford coming face to face with Craig, another cool-as-a-cucumber badass, should temper their expectations. Craig’s face will remain covered throughout the pic, as this is little more than a cameo role given to the actor when he asked for it. One insider told The Washington Post:

“Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role – and was happy to have his name left off the posters. Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him.”

With the stacked cast already leading The Force Awakens, it’s no wonder that director J.J. Abrams didn’t really want Craig’s baby blues distracting the audience. In case you haven’t seen a Star Wars article in a few days (unlikely, I know), the lineup includes Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Lupita Nyong’o, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Max von Sydow… and now, Daniel Craig.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens lands December 18.
