“[Mixtapes] are fun playgrounds for me because there are no rules,” Ashton told Rolling Stone. “You’re basically sampling anything and mixing everything together with abandon. It’s like a big fucking sonic collage.”

Considering that he also has a collaboration in the works with Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, the styles showcased in this cross section of his EP promise a series of interesting departures for the artist. The strongest track of the bunch is easily the grandiose “Dorfex Bos,” but music fans from various walks of life will undoubtedly have their own favorites.

Into the Sun is slated for release on June 30th, and will consist of a total of 16 tracks.
