Whether you’ve heard of him for the first time thanks to the new posters and trailers for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo or remembered him as the new James Bond from Casino Royale, Daniel Craig is one of those actors whose name has been featured in Hollywood’s spotlight for the past several years.  He now has worldwide fans and the James Bond franchise is only helping Craig rise higher and higher on the A-List of Hollywood actors.

Today, Sony, EON Productions, and MGM officially released information about Craig’s upcoming untitled Bond film, simply referred to as Bond 23 for now. Bond 23 is set to be released in the UK and Ireland on October 26, 2012, two weeks prior to its theatrical release in the U.S. and the rest of the world, November 9, 2012.

While the release date is pretty certain, there is still no basic synopsis for Bond 23 that we know of.  Director Sam Mendes and Daniel Craig are definitely participating in the new James Bond venture, and the screenplay has been already written by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan.

Actors like Javier Bardem and Judi Dench are potential cast members for Bond 23, but the cast is not fully selected yet.  With no known plot or title, Bond 23 will surely be keeping all fans in suspenseful curiosity until we know more. Look on the bright side though, at least we have a release date to look forward to!
