After taking on a key role in Irrational Man opposite Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone, Parker Posey is in final negotiations to reteam with Woody Allen for the veteran helmer’s next feature.

Posey will join a cast that already includes Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg and Bruce Willis. As is typical for an Allen joint, casting has been under way for months, even with Irrational Man only opening in theaters next July.

Allen has a history of teaming with the same actors for multiple projects after taking a shine to them. Alan Alda, Alec Baldwin, Blythe Danner, Judy Davis, Mia Farrow, Scarlett Johansson, Julie Kavner, Diane Keaton, Sam Waterston, Wallace Shawn and Emma Stone have ranked among his many preferred thesps. Now, it appears that Posey is in the process of being added to that list.

No plot details are yet available for the upcoming Allen movie, but that’s also nothing unusual for a film from the director. Irrational Man only had its title revealed this past January, months after shooting had wrapped, and we can probably expect similar secrecy from this next pic, which will likely land in theaters next summer.
