Love him or hate him, you can’t deny Hardwell‘s knack for putting out festival bangers engineered to make a crowd of thousands jump up and down in unison. Teaming up once again with fellow Dutchman and progressive house mainstay Dannic, the two-years-running DJ Mag #1 has delivered another piece of main stage euphoria with his latest release, “Survivors.”

A dramatic string section leads to anthemic vocals by singer Haris before surrendering to an explosive synth lead whose melody is certain to get stuck in the head of anyone who hears it. A unique percussive pattern during the buildup makes it more than just a progressive house carbon copy, striking an effective balance with the more mainstream elements prevalent in the track.

Hardwell and Dannic’s creative relationship dates back to their 2012 release, “Kontiki,” which marked the latter artist’s debut on the former’s label, Revealed Recordings. While Hardwell’s releases often leave much to be desired from anyone with more than a superficial appreciation of electronic music, we can’t deny the appeal of “Survivors,” and would likely find ourselves singing along if we heard it played out live.

That said, we want to know what you think of the track. Did you enjoy Hardwell and Dannic’s “Survivors?” Let us know why or why not in the comments.
