It looks like Melissa Benoist's Kara Danvers is going to have a bit of a pest problem on her hands, as CBS's Supergirl TV series has added another villain to its roster in the form of Hellgrammite, who will be played by Powers actor Justice League Leak.

It looks like Melissa Benoist’s Kara Danvers is going to have a bit of a pest problem on her hands, as CBS’s Supergirl TV series has added another villain to its roster in the form of Hellgrammite, who will be played by Powers actor Justice League Leak.

In the DC Comics universe, Hellgrammite (which is the name of a real insect, just in case you were wondering) started out as an entomologist named Roderick Rose, who was transformed into an insectoid monster after an experiment went wrong. According to Entertainment Weekly, the small screen take on this handsome fella will actually be “an alien that Supergirl will be chasing,”  which does make more sense given the main character’s origins.

On the villain front we already have Sons of Anarchy alum Chris Browning as Reactron, and we recently found out that former True Blood actress Brit Morgan would be playing Livewire. Expect casting announcements for the likes of Sam Lane and Red Tornado (hopefully some much needed backup for our girl) soon.

Supergirl premieres Monday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
