Hitting theatres this week is Warner Bros.' We Are Your Friends, the coming of age story set in the world of electronic dance music. The film stars Zac Efron as Cole Carter, an inspiring young DJ living in the San Fernando Valley trying to make a name for himself. He soon gets his shot when legendary producer James Reese takes him under his wing. But as Cole learns, fame and fortune comes with a high price, and the road to riches isn't as smooth as he thinks it is.

With a magnetic performance from Efron, who’s quickly proving himself to be a bankable leading man, and some stylish direction from Max Joseph, the film is a fun, energetic and enjoyable trip through the world of EDM, featuring a solid soundtrack and a few exciting cameos from world famous DJs.

Last week at the NYC press day, I had the chance to sit down for an exclusive interview with Joseph, Efron and Emily Ratajkowski, who plays Sophie, Cole’s love interest. They spoke about Zac’s DJ lessons on set, how Emily handled her first leading role, what Max learnt from some of the artists who lent a hand and much more.

Check out what they had to say in the video above and be sure to catch We Are Your Friends when it spins its way into theatres this Friday.
