Michael B. Jordan Already Set To Star In Another Comic Book Movie

Clearly the abysmal reaction to and box office performance of Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot hasn't put actor Michael B. Clearly the abysmal reaction to and box office performance of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four reboot hasn’t put actor Michael B. Jordan off from appearing in comic book based movies in general, as it’s being reported that he’s signed on to star in a big-screen adaptation of Dark Horse graphic novel, Blood Brothers.

MGM is producing the flick, which is described as a buddy action-comedy with horror elements – as in, the main characters are vampires. Here’s the synopsis for the graphic novel by Etan Cohen, Mike Gagerman and Andrew Waller:

After a century of friendship, smoking opium with Genghis Khan and having orgies in Michelangelo’s studio, two inseparable vampire buddies are on the verge of splitting up. Terrible timing, as an apocalypse-obsessed villain is plotting an end to humanity. Looks like Nick and Tree, immortal best buds getting by as bail bondsmen, are humanity’s last hope… Can they put their baggage aside long enough to save the world?

Sounds… interesting? This is the type of flick that could be a very entertaining romp, or a bloody awful slog. Anyway, let’s hope the rest of the Fantastic Four cast get back on the horse sooner rather than later, as the reboot’s shortcoming were no fault of theirs and there’s definitely some great talent to be utilized amongst them.

Blood Brothers currently has no director attached, and no release date is set, but we’ll keep you posted when we hear more.
