Arrow fans have been told to expect Oliver Queen’s BFF John Diggle (David Ramsey) to suit up in a superhero costume of his own for quite a while now, and after several teases from the actor, The CW has finally released our first official look him in all of his…. glory?

If you’re thinking, “that looks just like Magneto from the X-Men movies,” then you’re not alone. Diggle’s new outfit is currently the laughing stock of the internet – and even fans of The CW’s usual hokey approach to this type of thing are not impressed.

Really, aside from any Magneto comparisons, it’s just not a very good costume. He’s surely not going for a disguise with that much of his face showing, but that’s the reason Ramsey has given in the past for his character needing to follow his pal Oliver’s lead by getting himself a superhero suit. Maybe he’s just going for maximum protection, but even then, how many bullets or blades is a leather jacket gonna stop?

What do you think? Are people being a bit harsh? Sound off below, and be sure to catch MagneDiggle in action when Arrow returns to The CW on October 7.
