Hear The Voices Of Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma From Star Wars: The Force Awakens; New Posters Emerge

For all of the excitement and intrigue swirling around the villainous trifecta of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney and Lucasfilm have kept the vast majority of information relating to the trio behind closed doors thicker than the blast doors of the Death Star.

That doesn’t necessarily rule out the chance of budding fans unearthing new details, however, and with the Force Friday celebration now in full swing, those who have got their hands on the first wave of The Force Awakens memorabilia have posted some interesting findings – specifically in relation to a pair of replica helmets.

Posted by Twitter user David Popineau, the pair of videos give us out first indication of what Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma – played by Adam Driver and Game of Thrones standout Gwendoline Christie – sound like in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Spouting out lines of pre-recorded dialogue, much of the lines uttered by each malevolent villain could be considered spoiler-ish, so tread with caution if you want to retain a blank slate up until December.

Kylo Ren may not be the main antagonist in J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi sequel, but he’s certainly a force to be reckoned with. Here, we hear Driver’s power-mongering character utter lines such as “don’t fight it,” possibly in relation to someone – Rey or Finn – being coaxed toward the dark side of the Force, and “together we will destroy the Resistance and the last Jedi.” The last Jedi? Could it be that Luke Skywalker hasn’t coached a fellow Jedi in the 30 years that have lapsed since Return of the Jedi?

As for Captain Phasma, her dialogue tree contains more generic lines, such as “on my command” and “submit your Blaster for inspection.” There is a nice nugget of fan service here, however, with Christie’s elite Stormtropper referring to 2187, the same detention cell that housed Princess Leia for a period aboard the first Death Star.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens blasts into theaters on December 18.
