Now that Game of Thrones season 6 has filled the parts of Euron Greyjoy and Dickon Tarly over recent weeks, Variety has picked up news that Downtown Abbey and Girls‘ star Richard E. Grant has joined HBO’s burgeoning ensemble in an undisclosed role.

The outlet picked up the tidbit ahead of schedule when the actor’s talent agency, ARG, updated his online profile to include the acclaimed fantasy series, before removing it quickly thereafter. As such, today’s news is merely a fleeting confirmation that Grant is involved in season 6 in some capacity, though the jury’s still out on who the English actor-cum-director will be playing. He’s just one of a number of prestigious actors from across the pond who have signed on for the latest outing of Game of Thrones, rubbing shoulders with Jonathan Pryce and Ian McShane.

Remaining on the topic of newcomers for the time being and there’s also the addition of cinema veteran Max von Sydow – on board as the enigmatic Three-Eyed Raven – not to mention Freddie Stroma and Pilou Asbæk. The latter Dane is on point to portray Euron Greyjoy (Crow’s Eye), the undisputed renegade of the Iron Islands who takes a particular interest in Daenerys Targaryen and her scaly companions.

Lifted from George R.R. Martin’s two-part tome A Dance With Dragons, Game of Thrones season 6 will expand HBO’s world of political intrigue and drama to a whole new level and, depending on how faithful showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff are to the source material, a particularly significant arc for Asbæk’s Euron Greyjoy.

Game of Thrones season 6 will bring the fantastical realm of Westeros back to the small screen in April of 2016.
