Bryan Singer has often been criticized for a lack of faithfulness to the source material, but when it comes to Psylocke, the X-Men: Apocalypse director has pretty much nailed it. Olivia Munn is a casting decision fans have been behind since day one, while the costume – an element of these movies Singer has got wrong many times in the past – is undeniably a perfect adaptation from the comic books.
This week, the actress shared a new training video on her Instagram account showing off her amazing sword skills, and it instantly becomes clear from watching this that Psylocke will be just as much of an ass kicker in X-Men: Apocalypse as she is in the source material.
[zergpaid]Munn has clearly been giving her all to the role to do the character justice as well, and with so many mutants in the movie, here’s hoping she gets enough screentime to make an impact.
As well as returning cast members Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult, X-Men: Apocalypse will also introduce Alexandra Shipp, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Lana Condor, Oscar Isaac, Ben Hardy, Olivia Munn, and a number of others. The movie is set to be released on May 27th, 2016.
