Deadline is reporting today that Ernie Hudson will take a role in Sony’s upcoming Ghostbusters reboot, which is set to be directed by Paul Feig and stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Andy Garcia, Leslie Jones, Chris Hemsworth and Neil Casey.

Though his part is currently unknown, the actor will join fellow original Ghostbusters cast members Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd in the highly-anticipated flick. His role will likely amount to a cameo, or something slightly bigger, but it’s still nice to hear that he’ll be included.

Hudson may have spoken out about the reboot in the past, stating that it was a bad idea, but obviously something changed, and we’re definitely happy to see that he’ll have a role alongside Aykroyd and Murray, no matter how small it may be.

Ghostbusters will march into theatres on July 15, 2016. Tell us, are you happy to see Hudson joining the cast? Sound off below!
