Jerome Lets His Joker Side Out In Red-Band Trailer For Gotham Season 2

A new red-band trailer for upcoming episodes of Gotham has been released, and it features Jerome letting his Joker out as part of "The Maniax."

Fox has released a new extended red-band promo for the second episode of Gotham‘s second season, and it offers up a great look at Jerome and his fellow “Maniax” as they cut loose and start causing chaos in the city.

It’s been widely reported that the show is this year going to focus on Jerome (Cameron Monaghan) becoming The Joker, a controversial decision among some fans, but one that’s easy to understand when you take into account the kind of attention that will bring the series from viewers. While Gotham isn’t set in the same universe as Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Trilogy, it’s certainly inspired by it, and it’s not remotely difficult to see that Monaghan is channelling his inner Heath Ledger in this violent preview of what’s to come.

In next week’s Gotham, on the heels of his reinstatement, Gordon is thrust onto the high-profile case tracking the deadly inmate escape from Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Galavan plans his next move, while Bruce asks for help from his father’s old friend to unlock the secrets in his office and Nygma asks out Kristin Kringle on a date.
