Over the last few weeks, Bethesda Game Studios has released a steady diet of skill-based tutorials for Fallout 4, with each one centring upon one of its unique S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats. Now, to complement those survival guides further, Creative Director Todd Howard has released his own narrated overview.
Instead of going the 1950s cartoon route, Howard’s video starts by focusing upon the in-game Pip-Boy, which is used for everything from managing inventory and healing to upgrading and choosing perks. It then switches gears a bit and delves deeper into the perks themselves, as they’ve been altered and improved upon for this brand new campaign.
[zerggaming]Based around and organized by the game’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes, this myriad of perks will become available to players based on the skills they opted to give their characters at the quest’s onset. Not only that, but by adding ways to increase one’s perk proficiency, Bethesda has created a system that features close to three hundred different options.
It’s all very visually pleasing, too, with neat-looking Pip Boy animations related to each perk, as well as a beautifully animated flow chart that does a great job of organizing them.
Fallout 4 will be released on November 10th, but you can rest assured that we’ll have more news and trailers for you before then.
