Check Out These New Character Images From Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Recently, we’ve had quite a bit of Star Wars: The Force Awakens promo art unveiled via the Star Wars Card Trader mobile app, but this time we’ve got some brand new live action images of several of the characters we’ll be meeting this December… and Chewbacca!

The cards are being released gradually in special packs, and there are still a couple more to come, but for now we have Rey (Daisy Ridley), Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie) and Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew), as well as droids R2-D2, C-3PO, BB-8, and two incarnations of the First Order Stormtroopers.

Conspicuous by their absence are Finn (John Boyega), Poe (Oscar Isaac) and Han Solo (Harrison Ford), but there’s a good chance the first two, at least, will feature on the final cards. Outside of artistic depictions, these cards represent the first proper glimpses of the characters we’ve had in quite some time, so it’s possible we’ll be seeing them again when official promotion for the film kicks up a notch over the next couple of months.

Star Wars: the Force Awakens also stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, and is set to be released on December 18th, 2015.
