There are a ton of reasons to be excited for Deadpool, a movie which for a long time appeared to have little to no chance of ever being made. Leaked test footage ensured that Fox had no other choice than to put it into production though, and both the promotional campaign and news of it being R-Rated has kept fans very happy (not to mention the great cast led by Ryan Reynolds).
Well, we now have another reason, and that’s the fact composer Tom Holkenborg – known as Junkie XL – will be scoring Deadpool, with work set to begin today.
Junkie XL’s work was recently featured in Mad Max: Fury Road, but he rose to prominence with his very unique style after working alongside Hans Zimmer on The Dark Knight Rises, Man of Steel and The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It was also confirmed earlier this year that he will provide the Batman specific pieces of music for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
